What a special place! We booked a small family reunion, with family from CA, TX, WI, MN, AZ, CO, & ND and everyone was astounded at the beauty and tranquility; as well as the outstanding staff, meals, and accommodations! Staff feel like family and treat you that way! It wasn't an easy sell, to begin with, due to location; but turns out that's part of why it's so special and brings families together. Try it! You'll love it! Already talk of getting back there, soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lodge. We were with a group of adults that appreciated the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets, the scenic views of the prairie landscape, the night skies and the soul filling quietness. The facility provided a quality industrial kitchen and continental breakfast. Our group chose to bring in some meals but also had a dinner catered. The dinner was delicious. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds and the log cabin decor carried throughout. We totally embraced the experience. It was the perfect background to visit and reconnect with family from various states. A thumbs up to Joe, Patti and staff!
It is hard to describe how wonderful the experience was staying at The Lodge. My uncle and I were visiting during a Family Heritage Trip to North Dakota, and were blown away by the beauty and hospitality of this Lodge. The only thing more wonderful than the sweeping vistas and luxurious accommodations of the lodge, were the gracious family that run it. They truly made our experience a lifelong memory, and we now think of them as true friends. I am looking forward to bringing my children here for their Heritage Trip! Thanks again Olivia and Joe...
We go to the Lodge every fall to quilt. It is a fantastic venue, including the most beautiful, panoramic vistas you can imagine. It is always sparkling clean and the staff have high attention to detail. Olivia makes such tasty meals and I always come home with a few new recipes. Jo comes by to check on us and we always love a visit with him. If you are in ND, you simply must stay here!!!
We can't say enough about this place and their staff! It truly is a 'hidden gem' and one of a kind experience in all of ND! We had our wedding here and it couldn't have been better. The venue and lodge is absolutely stunning, and the staff and Breker family who run everything are so kind and accommodating! Olivia and the CDP team provided in-house catering for all of our guests and it was beyond delicious! If you're looking for a smaller wedding weekend getaway or a family reunion or retreat- this is your place!
Went to Coteau Des Prairies Lodge to get away and have a quiet weekend and it was exactly that. Olivia and Joe we're absolutely wonderful and the views were incredible. We had a very relaxing weekend but could also see the lodge coming to life with a large group of friends/family there. Looking forward to planning out next trip already. FYI - the last 8 miles of the drive are on gravel roads. They are in great condition and we had no problem getting there, however it was a bit of a surprise.
What ever event you're considering the lodge for - yes. From beginning to end, working with Coteau des Prairies Lodge was fantastic. Our guests and family could not say enough about how much they loved the lodge and how comfortable the space was. We had our wedding reception here and couldn't image it anywhere else. The personal touches and comforting feeling of the lodge made the experience so special. Olivia was so thorough through the entire experience and went to great lengths to make sure we felt confident and informed. Highly, highly recommend hosting all and any events here - enjoy!!
Amazing location with 360 degree, beautiful views, and serenity. The entire lodge is very well built, maintained and managed. Our entire family loves this spacious retreat and will continue to be repeat customers for years to come.
